About us

A tool your team uses.
Not a buzzword they dread.

Bayside Consulting exists to close the gap between having AI and actually using it well. We train Irish SME teams — from complete beginners up — to work faster, think bigger and stay safe, without ever needing to touch a line of code.

Our mission

Make AI genuinely useful for ordinary businesses.

The AI conversation has been dominated by big tech, big budgets and big promises. Meanwhile the corner shop, the accountancy practice, the hotel and the trades business are left wondering where they fit in.

That's who we're for. We believe a small team with the right AI habits can punch far above its weight — and that the fastest way to get there isn't another subscription, it's a day of practical, hands-on training that meets people exactly where they are.

A bayside is a safe harbour — the calm point you set out from and come back to.

That's the role we aim to play while your team finds its feet in unfamiliar waters: a steady guide, not a hard sell.

How we work

The principles behind every session.

01

Practical over theoretical

You won't leave with a notebook full of maybes. Every session works through real tasks and sends people back to their desks able to do something new that afternoon.

02

Plain English, always

No acronyms for the sake of it. If a concept can't be explained in a way a busy owner understands, it doesn't belong in the room.

03

Built around your business

A hospitality team and a construction firm have very different needs. We tailor examples, tools and workflows to your sector, not a generic template.

04

Honest about the limits

AI gets things wrong. We teach people to spot it, question it and protect their data — because confidence without caution is a risk, not a skill.

05

Focused on the team, not the tech

The goal is capable people, not impressive demos. Success is measured in hours saved and confidence gained across your whole team.

Phil

Founder & Lead AI Trainer

Fifteen years in enterprise IT, and every step of it earned from the ground up. I started on a local IT service desk, then worked my way through team leader, project manager and IT manager roles, on to Head of ITSM, before ultimately joining Group IT as an IT Business Partner for a FTSE 100 company. Different titles, but really the same job repeated at increasing scale: managing stakeholders who didn't always agree with each other, delivering projects against real deadlines, taking genuine ownership of significant budgets, leading people through change, and the time management that comes from juggling all four at once.

I started Bayside Consulting because that's exactly what SMEs need right now with AI, just at a smaller scale: someone who's actually walked that walk — brought change into a business without the chaos, translated it into plain English, and made sure the people using it every day were the ones who actually benefited. No jargon, no theory — just what's worked, applied to your team.

Let's talk about your team.

Every good session starts with a conversation. Tell us where your team is now, and we'll show you where a day of training could take them.
